To the person who sometimes feels depressed and suicidal

I know you feel like you want to die sometimes. I know the pain and the drudgery feels all too much sometimes. But you know full well that these feelings come and go. Nothing that comes and goes should be allowed to make decisions, especially drastic ones for you, the Spirit, which is the one and only constant in your life.
I lovingly challenge you with this idea - that you don't truly want to die. You just truly want to live. So live with courage. With your heart open to the pain. Greet each feeling with the embrace and attention it desperately needs. You are strong enough to feel any feeling. What is more painful than feeling pain, is resisting pain. Drowning pain. Repressing pain. That, my friend, is true pain.
Feeling your pain fully. Embracing it with open arms. Accepting it fully. Focusing your divine attention inside and around the pain 360 degrees and willingly relaxing into it - that is your salvation.
Hear these words, from the deepest part of me to the deepest part of you. Everything will be alright.
With warmth,
Ryan
